How To Get Started Trading / Investing in Cryptocurrencies

First of all you need to get yourself a wallet.

There’s lots of comanies offering cryptocurrencies wallets (click here to see some).

There’s basically 2 types of wallets, online and hard wallets. The hard wallets ususally come in the form of USB stick and are the most secure but will cost you anywhere from €50 plus. The online wallets are free but less secure but still relatively secure if you use a well known provide and activate proper security measures. I use online wallets but have just ordered a hard wallet (there’s a long waiting list) called a Ledger Nano S.

When you’re using online wallets always enable 2 factor authentication (2FA) to raise your security. This means you have to confirm any transaction with your mobile phone using an app like Google Authenticator. Make sure you save a copy of the details of your 2FA saved separately because if you lose your phone, it’s a hassle logging back into these sites. I know from personal experience!

For Android

For iPhone

I use the following wallets:

Exodus

https://blockchain.info/

Coinbase

Use the highest level of security you can.

And in order to trade CryptoCurrencies you need to set up an account with an exhange, again there’s many (click here to see a few) but I have used:

https://bittrex.com/

A few really useful sites for CryptoCurrencies are:

https://coinmarketcap.com/

https://www.cryptocompare.com/

https://changelly.com/
